XTAL 5K Review
This is of course the more entry-level headset compared to its bigger brother the XTAL 8K. This headset only has a 70 Hz refresh rate, but does use two fast-switching 2K OLED displays to bring you a 5120 x 1440 display. It does feature eye-tracking and IPD adjustment which is always a welcomed feature. But once again this is not a headset for the normal VR user. This headset is designed for use in simulators or vehicle training rather than playing Steam games on it (but you can if you want).
Is The XTAL 5K Worth Buying?
Much like its bigger brother, this is not a headset for the average user at all, nor is it a good option for anyone really mostly due to the huge weight and uncomfortable head strap. However, I am sure there will be some business use for it, but it is not a headset the average VR gamer should buy, but maybe a business running pilot training or other training that needs a high-quality clear VR system.
