Description: Soar through the ruins of a fallen world and discover the secrets of the ancients. Windlands has been developed primarily for Virtual Reality headsets but is also a great experience for those without headsets.
Windlands appeals to those who want to explore the breathtaking vistas at a relaxing pace, while the challenging routes attract gamers who like to master the skill of soaring through the towering environments at top speed.
Using the Playstation Move controllers to get around feels very natural, just point click, fly! But I will say that this is not a game best played standing up. It sounds odd to say that, but more often than not you will lose yourself within the immersion of the game and this can often lead to tumbles, bumps and knocks. But if you can handle playing stood up you will enjoy it more…but at your own risk.
As with the HTC Vive wands from the Steam version of this game, using the PlayStation VR move controllers works really well with this game, giving it an even greater sense of explorative immersion. I think the basic style of graphics works well with the PSVR meaning it looks exactly like the PC version. But this is still not a game for VR beginners, this game is best played when you can take that feeling of VR nausea and suck it up! Get over that feeling and you will find out why myself and many others like this game so much. But as the PSVR is new, it might be best to stay away from it for a few weeks. Get used to that motion sickness, then download this. Sure I could gripe about the price is more expensive than any other system, but I won’t. This game is worth every penny no matter what system you download it on.
