Review: ‘Wardwell House VR’ is a mash-up of static 360 images and horror game. Using a gaze to move system (making the motion controllers pointless) you move from scene to scene reading the text blocks as you go along and there are some sound effects to give it a touch of atmosphere. When this was original released on the Google Cardboard platform it was pretty amazing, but here we are over 6 years later and this game really hasn’t changed at all. Asking £3.99 for this might be a bit too much for some people, but if you are willing to let yourself fall into the story and give yourself into the creepy storyline you will find some enjoyment in this hour-long experience. It’s not terrible I suppose, just very, very dated.
