Description: VRemedies is a patient preparation Virtual Reality set of experiences that are designed to introduce patients to procedures before they experience the real-world environment. The experience is designed to allow children and their families to feel more comfortable with the treatments they are about to receive, we do this by taking them through the experience virtually.
Review: For most people ‘VRemedies – MRI Procedure Experience’ is not something worth paying the vast price for, but looking into this set of interactive experiences a little more makes me understand why they might be worth every penny. They are designed to desensitise people to various operations and tests that some adults and child might find scare. These experiences are designed to be ultra-realistic and educational. If they can go through this interactive VR experience they should find the real thing a lot less traumatic and if that isn’t a great use of VR I don’t know what it. Kudos to the developers for such a genius use of VR. It’s just a shame only private hospitals could afford it.
