Description: Medieval Western European towns emerged in the 11th century. Before the 11th century, during the Merovingian and Carolingian eras, although there were sporadic towns, they did not become a climate. Most of them were political centers or cities left over from ancient Rome, mainly political centers or ancient Rome. The remaining cities are mainly political centers, not commercial centers. After commercial towns appeared in the 11th century, medieval towns really emerged.
At the beginning of the 11th century, as people’s living conditions improved, many people left their homes in the countryside and returned to the cities to live with the lord of the fief. The most influential families will build some fortresses to protect their homes, which is also a symbol of their wealth. Residential areas in medieval towns continued to expand. Some simple houses will be built outside the city walls to house new immigrants.
Review: Just when I thought ‘VR Time Machine Travelling in history: Medieval Castle, Fort, and Village Life in 1071-1453 Europe’ was a ridiculous name for an app along comes ‘VR Time Travelling in Medieval Towns and Islands: Magellan’s Life in ancient Europe, the Great Exploration Age, and A.D.1500 Time Machine’ to trump it. This is once again an app that might serve some educational content in the right setting but doesn’t really have any to be worth the current asking price. I am not really sure what these apps are about other than being used in an educational setting, but this is not something I can recommend any time soon, but I am not fully hatting on it either.
