Description: VR Skater is a highly immersive street skateboarding game. It’s a finely tuned mix between arcade and simulation. It’s easy to learn, but hard to master. Skate through a wide variety of urban environments. Shred through the streets, take on challenges or chase high scores with complex trick combinations.
Review: While most other people are sold on the idea of ‘VR Skater’ I am not so sure about it. Sure, I wasn’t expecting a perfect game like ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’ but I did want it to be at least fun and sadly it isn’t. While I give kudos to the in-depth tutorial when it comes to playing the game it really is one of those games you will take a long time to get the hang of. Sadly thanks to the game only having one map to play in you will soon be bored of the game well before you get used to it. I just get the feeling this is more an IDEA of a game rather than something that is ready for release and the £16.99 price tag for me is simply crazy talk. There is some potential here and with more work, it could be something I can recommend, but it is far from being that now.
