Description: VRpatients is a Virtual Reality platform where players are put in real patient management situations and required to decide and implement medical therapies believed to positively affect the patient. The outcome of the case can be either positive or negative based on the way that the player treats their patient. The player is then scored based on the way they treat the patient in the case. At the end of the case the player is given written feedback as to how they did relative to how the patient case should have been. This package is currently targeted at medical professionals.

Review: You probably don’t need me to tell you this but ‘VR Patients is a medical training app that sees you performing various tests and analyses on various patients with various conditions. While it is indeed free it does require a small sign-up to get going. I have to say I was semi-impressed with it, but this is NOT a hand-holding training app. It won’t tell you what to do, it won’t tell you what anything you are using is, nor will it be of any benefit to anyone other than a medical student who already knows quite a lot. If you ask me (with no medical training) it is a little basic, but it is free and you can do quite a lot with each virtual patient, so it is probably worth a look. I just wish there was more training on offer here rather than just the tools to train yourself.
