Description: Blow your enemies to pieces in a fast-paced gunslinger action, slow down time, dodge shots, block bullets with your shield. Gather power-ups to arm yourself with dual blasters or transform your weapons into more powerful modes. Fight in different environments, from claustrophobic and dark, to enormously big and bright. Leave a trail of destruction as you progress through the game, turn each of the highly detailed levels into a virtual scrapyard.
Once you start the first chapter you will realise you have a gun, a shield and just about everything that moves will try and kill you. Believe me when I tell you, the action gets fast and hard almost from the word go. The good news is you have a slow-mo mode when the action gets a little crazy and lots of powerups to help you along the way. But it’s a pretty easy game to understand. Point, shoot, avoid!
There is just something 16-bit retro about this game despite looking pretty decent and it has that easy to play, hard to master style of gameplay that I am personally a fan of. It feels very responsive, fast-paced gameplay and an absolute blast. Sure it does get repetitive very quickly, but you will still want to keep going just to hear the next part of the story.
So it’s it worth the money? I would say no. Wait for this to go down to half price and it will be a real bargain. But at the moment it doesn’t offer very good value for money (that is not a reflection on the game, it’s about getting your monies worth). As a gameplay tip, play on medium first, not easy. The game will last longer and you will appreciate the challenge.
