Description: Challenge a pro’s fastballs and breaking balls as a batter and catcher! With true hitting/catching sensation. You can experience a real pitcher’s balls in a big league baseball stadium with realistic sensation as a catcher or batter. You can shuffle pitch types from the menu or button operation. You can also enlarge the size of the bat or ball so that you can hit the ball more easily – a feature you could enjoy only in the digital world.
Review: As with most sports games ‘VR Dream Match Baseball’ is more a collection of mini-games rather than a full “match”. In this game there is catcher mode, batter mode and free batting mode. The later of those is more a “practice” session and the others are batting and catching challenges. Sadly none of the game modes is all that great and each of them lacks real polish. Sure, they look OK, but the gameplay is quite timid leaving you wanting more. For a bit od arcade-style baseball fun this is worth a look, but I certainly wouldn’t pay £15.49 for it. But grab it for a few quid and you might mess about with it for a little while and enjoy it.
