Our Thoughts: Virtual Research Systems might have released the Virtual Research VR1280, but the V8 is still considered a good enough VR headset for some testing. Setting a new standard in high performance, professional virtual reality headsets the stats were and indeed are stunning for its time.
If you look down at the range of features this professional VR helmet has you might even see the beginnings of modern day ones. In fact, if you looked under the bonnet of the Oculus Rift you might well find many of the exact same parts as well. We have said it before and we will say it again Virtual Research Systems are VR and this headset shows they are and probably always will be on the leading edge of this technology.
