Review: You might think you are getting a good story based thriller with ‘Uplands Motel: VR Thriller’ and it certainly looks good (in places) but it is the poor quality of everything else that really lets this game down. Sure, sometimes it does look good and in other locations like inside rooms, it’s sparse and boring. The storyline should be the thing that drives the game, but with the bad voice acting and poor quality animations, it just feels PS1 cheap. Then chuck in the £5.59 asking price for a less than 30 minutes game and you have yourself a bit of a disaster. But this is one of those games you might get in a cheap bundle and appreciate, but I certainly wouldn’t pay a lot for it on its own.
