Review: Unearthing Mars is an adventure game set on the mysterious Red Planet they call Mars. Playing as a Co-Pilot of the retrieval team you fly to Mars, but obviously, things do not go as simple as that. Most of the ship scenes and rover parts will see you switching buttons, selecting the right thing to say and even getting to pull a few levers. But once you get to Mars you can look forward to a driving simulation of the rover vehicle, some puzzles to solve and even some shooting action fighting against cryptic alien beings! Yep, you get to do a little bit of everything in this game and then some.
While there isn’t a whole lot of gameplay in Unearthing Mars the story drives it onwards for quite a long time. Sadly I did finish the game with just a few hours making it not worth the asking price as is the norm with PSVR games. But yet, while it lasted I was enjoying it. Graphically it has good times and bad times, but when it looks good it does indeed look very good. So is it worth a download? Not really at its current price, but it’s good enough to make it well worth a purchase in a sale.
