Description: Ultrawings is the first aerial-themed, open-world game where you’ll pilot multiple aircraft to complete a variety of missions across an island-themed world. The game features full support for gamepad, HOTAS*, rudder pedals, and HTC Vive Wands, Oculus Touch, and Windows MR tracked motion controllers which allows you to use your hands to virtually interact with each aircraft’s flight instruments for a truly unparalleled flight experience!
Review: Let’s get the most disappointing thing out of the way, this is NOT like Pilotwings 64, in fact, it doesn’t look as good as that game did! OK, so that’s not true and most people won’t be going into this game wanting it to be like Pilotwings 64 (most people won’t even know that game ever existed!) But basic graphics pushed aside, there is tons of fun to be had here and while it is still a realistic flight simulator at heart, it doesn’t take itself too seriously making it fun to play.
It would have been nice to have had a few multiplayer options and a few less bugs in this game, but even with the lack of planes and landscapes, you can still lose yourself here. The graphics while not amazing still allows you to get away from it all and just enjoy flying around, doing near misses and just about whatever you want. But then there is a load of missions to keep you busy when you get bored with the freedom. This is a fun, basic looking flight simulator that with touch controls feels strangely realistic.
