Description: The ultimate VR flying game comes to Daydream! In Ultrawings, you’ll pilot multiple aircraft to complete tons of missions while soaring around beautiful islands.
Review: Ultrawings doesn’t look or feel like a serious flight simulator and it doesn’t have the action and fun of an arcade flight game, it’s somewhere in between that leaves fans of each genre feeling empty and wanting a lot more than this game has to offer them. But yet…when you do that first takeoff you feel free and fully immersed. Don’t go into this game with any expectations of what sort of game it is and you will enjoy it. Sure, the missions might not be up to much but exploring each island while on those missions and then being free as a bird in free-flight is where this game shines and dare I say it is a lot better than the Gear VR version. Ultrawings isn’t the Pilotwings we all wanted it to be, but it’s not as dead-pan as a serious flight sim. So is it worth the money? I would say yes just because that feeling of taking off in VR with the Google Daydream controller feels so weirdly immersive. Turn off all those comfort settings and just enjoy a free-flight, only then you will realise how immersive this game can be. Once you are board of that, play all the missions!
