Review: Some retro games work well in VR and others not so much. I would put TwinForce in the later. The two-layer gameplay in VR just didn’t work well for me and I would have much prefered a 3D single-layer version of the classic game genre. But the good news is the 3D in the game (with a “sprite” style) does kind of work and while it still has that retro look it still brings something different and I applaud that as it still keeps that classic gameplay. But what I don’t like is the price tag. At £3.99 there are far better things to download and I would wait for a sale if you think you might like it. Grab it for a quid ($1) or less and you might appreciate this a lot more than I personally did.
