Description: Victoria moves with her family to a new city to start her new job. But the first night in her new house is completely different than expected. As her husband and their two children are coming a day later she has to stay the first night alone in their new house. What starts with insomnia and a slight malaise first becomes an absolute nightmare during the night. Will you be able to survive this night until dawn?
Review: TheNightfall is a horror adventure with some unusual stand out differences. The first one being the quality of the game world. Not only does it looks amazing, but just about everything and anything is interactive. From cupboards and draws, pots, cans and books. This is not a horror game that has been rushed, some time and effort has been put into making it a full world. But this also leads to the 2nd part of the games main features which are that you only get a set amount of time to finish the game and you are not free to move about as such. You are stuck in each part of the house or outside until you find the next clue.
While I do appreciate the quality of the game there are things that are rather annoying. The lack of general help and direction is often frustrating and when you are fast running out of time this can often lead to control throwing rages. Also, I feel the £19.49 asking price is just way too much, but I would consider giving this a go for half that or less. This game offers something different but isn’t worth the full price tag.
