Description: Is it YOU? To find the secret gate to the Otherworld? Leave reality behind and enter a fantastic dream, a strange fairytale… find yourself in THE TEAR. What will you decide? There is never just one path through this VR adventure. The whole world is one big circular puzzle and your beginning might be the end. Save this magic world by reacting to your environment. Will you gain the trust of a fairy so it would land on your hand? Will the sphinxes be merciful to you?
Review: THE TEAR is a weird, art like interactive experience that will see you making various choices and solving a few simple puzzles. With its dreamlike graphics and peaceful little sound effects, I did find it oddly relaxing as well as oddly frustrating most due to the lack of guidance in some things, you just have to figure them out on your own. They do describe this game as a ‘poetic VR adventure’ so maybe it is my hate for poetry that makes me dislike this experience. But at least the price is small if you fancy giving it a go yourself. I get the feeling that this might be one of those apps you really need to try yourself to make a decision on if it is good or not. Khgjh.
