Review: You know how it is. You are wondering through a beautiful forest glade and suddenly hoards of giant spiders come from all around you and you need to kill them before they kill you. Yeah, OK. So so the storyline isn’t up to much, but this is a spider shooter that proves just how deadly spiders can be. There is one one game mode here (although you can choose between roomscale and non-roomscale. )
There really is nothing else to this game other than killing spiders with whatever weapon you have. You start with a single pistol, but can soon earn points to get a laser gun and grenades. While basic in design it looks pretty good and the spiders can be quite a challenge as they come from just about anywhere and they move quicker than a greased up fireman coming down the firepole.
I reckon for the asking price this is a good, fun shooter that will keep you amused for an hour or two. While there is only one game mode and no multiplay you could always pass it between friends to do a score challenge to get a little bit more life out of it. Quickly repetitive and gets boring yes, but also a fast-paced shooter that will make you realise you are not as ready as you think for that impending spider invasion.
