Description: Birth and pregnancy are events full of magic, but also drama. Although all of us go through that part of life, no one is able to remember how it really was to be inside our mother’s womb. To which extent can fetuses experience what’s going on outside the womb? We wanted to explore the contrast between the calmness inherent in the womb and the complex reality that awaits outside.
Review: The 37th Week is non-interactive 360 3D animation that puts you in a womb with some sort of evil twin growing next to you. While at first, everything seems calm and relaxing things soon cascade into a jump scare and in the end you will be left wondering what on earth you just watched. While the jump scare is a little bit cheesy, the animation of the baby and the midwife doing the scan is pretty good and for a little while, I really got a feeling of what it was like to be inside a womb. So is it worth a download? While I would prefer it to be a little longer and cheaper I didn’t feel too ripped off because like I said the animation is pretty good (even if the dodgy voice acting isn’t.)
