Description: Taiga is an atmospheric first person horror game with elements of survival. Explore the maze like forest, Uncover dark secrets that lay beneath pine and spruce. Save your colleagues if you can, but most importantly. Escape with your life.
Review: ‘Taiga’ is a horror adventure style game in which you will be going from campsite to campsite in a very creepy woodland. All you really have to see is your trusty torch and a sat-nav to guide you. To be fair this is a pretty good-looking game, only it isn’t very well optimised with pop-ups and blurring all the time. But when you can see the graphics, they are pretty good and the dark woodland can be quite immersive. The main idea is to find out what happened to your friends while avoiding the monster/monsters that roam the forest.
While there isn’t a whole lot of interaction in this game the odd text messages and text bites do add to the immersion and if you take things slowly you will get your money’s worth here. As long as you take the small price into account you really can’t go wrong here and I would imagine this game would go down a storm at a VR Halloween party. Sures, its not perfect, but for the money, it’s surprisingly good.
