Description: SWARM is a fast-paced, arcade-style grapple shooter, with quick sessions, bright colourful worlds and globally competitive leaderboards that will take you back to the glory days of Arcade Games. Armed with just a grappling hook and your handy pistols, you’ll be plunged into a flow state as you grapple, shoot and battle your way to the heart of the SWARM before it’s too late. Twitch reactions won’t be enough to carry you through, you’ll need to think strategically and plan your next move to stay alive. Intense. Demanding. Exhilarating.
Review: While it has to be said ‘Swarm’ isn’t original it does the same thing we have seen before only in a cool way. With its cell-shaded Jet Set Radio style graphics and even a small, shallow storyline to follow along with you can easily find yourself slipping into this game. While you do start slow you will soon find yourself swinging without looking and shooting in ways only a manic Spiderman would. It’s fun, fast and at times most definitely furious. Sadly, unless you are a score-chaser you will find yourself getting pretty bored of this game far too quickly. Having played this game now for well over 2 hours I feel I have and indeed will get my money’s worth out of it. But without chasing my own goals I probably wouldn’t have.
