Description: Could you survive on an abandoned island until you get rescued? Could you hunt food and find water to buy yourself more time before the rescue can find you? Could you protect yourself against animals that live on the island? In this virtual reality game you take on the role of the pilot of a crashed cargo plane. A rescue mission is underway but until you are found you are all on your own. You have 10 days before you die of thirst or hunger.
Review: It is clear from the moment you start to play ‘Survival Simulator VR’ that this is an early access indie game that isn’t going to be getting any better than it currently is any time soon. This game really does make you survive as it chucks you into the deep end and you have to figure out the controls all on your own. It looks basic and indeed the gameplay is also basic. For me personally the best survival game in VR has to be ‘The Forest’ but this is far from being that good. There is a lot of potential here for sure, but at the moment it has not been realised. It’s still worth a look for a quid or two, but I certainly wouldn’t pay anything more than that.
