Description: SUPERHYPERCUBE is a retro-futuristic spatial reasoning puzzle game. Control a cluster of cubes, rotating it as it approaches a wall in front of you – fit your cluster through the hole in the wall to increase your score and advance to the next wall!
Review: While the controls and game of SUPERHYPERCUBE are pretty easy to pick up, you will soon be struggling to work out the best way to fit the shape, then just when you thought it was getting a little too hard for you the walls start to rotate and you then have to factor in that timing as well! The good news is there are slow-mo and bomb power-ups to give you a little helping hand.
SuperHyperCube is not exactly original, but it is the type of game that massively benefits from being in VR. Being able to lean around and check that each shape will go through the wall gives you a strategic advantage that you simply wouldn’t have got from a normal 2D screen. While the game is enjoyable it just doesn’t justify the current asking price. Sure, there are a few game modes and the challenge aspect will certainly keep you coming back, but there just isn’t enough here to offer value for money. Have said that, if you see it in a sale for about half-price I would snap it up big time, not the best-looking puzzle game you will play in VR, but one that puts the VR aspect to great use.
