Description: Sky’s new Virtual Reality app puts you at the heart of the action like never before. Enjoy fully immersive Virtual Reality content that makes you feel like you are actually there. Join Leicester City in their day of celebrations as champions of the Premier League, walk down the red carpet with the cast from Star Wars or train with Anthony Joshua as he prepares for a world title fight.
Review: The Sky VR app is not quite the Sky TV streaming app you might have wanted, but it is a small selection of immersive 360° video experiences that you can enjoy. Best of all is that they are free and you don’t need a Sky iD to access it. Just download the app and enjoy.
With a few sporting ones, news ones and even a couple of 360 short movies ones (the Jungle Book one is amazing), there is quite a few things to watch here via a download or live stream if your internet is good enough.
While essentially one giant advert for other sky services, there is still some fantastic 360° video experience to watch and enjoy. From jungle book to some Sky News 360 video, there is something here for everyone. I would love them to introduce live feeds of sports and other things here in the future, maybe even some live 360° video for PPV events. There is a lot of potentials here, I just hope Sky don’t let the opportunity pass them by like they have so many other times in recent years.
