Our Thoughts: The updated Rockwell Collins SX50T headset has replaced this older HMD, but the tech is still stunning on the SimEye SX45. The headset is the ultimate display solution for part-task and integrated training environments for the military and aviation industries and Rockwell Collins have been doing that for years making them somewhat experts at it.
Sadly you will never see one of these headsets in the shops there is still a need to understand the tech and reason for it. Virtual reality isn’t just about video games, it’s about millions of applications from saving lives in the medical industry and protecting lives in the military industry. Not all virtual reality fun and games, some of it is very serious indeed.
