One of the first symptoms of dementia is loss of navigational skills, and through our mobile game SEA HERO QUEST we have already gathered a substantial amount of data. Now science would love to deepen insights into how people navigate.

Review: At the risk of being a little controversial, I don’t really understand how playing this game could result in it being better than big data via fast algorithmic matching of stats. Even some of our VR PC’s could play this game a thousand times faster and develop more data. So let’s just say I can’t see that side of it working. What I can see working is a load of fun little mini games for the little ones to play. Using the Gear VR motion controller they can be a fun distraction and some of them even I found entertaining. At the end of the day this is a free app, so even if it doesn’t really aid dementia study, you still get a fun game out of it, so there is no harm in downloading it and giving it a go!
