Description: Umihara Kawase is the name of our backpacking, Japanese cuisine chef heroine armed with a fishing rod, elastic fishing line, and a fishing hook. Face fish-like enemies, conveyor belts, spikes, watery pits and more. Collect items, and find your way to the end of each level. The deeper into this dream-like world that you venture, the more challenging the solutions and the greater the time pressure becomes. Along the way, look out for shortcuts and secret exits, and unlock next stages!
Review: There is no denying it. Sayonara Umihara Kawase VR is a hidden gem in the Gear VR store and while it is crazier than a soup sandwich it’s also amazing to look at and one of those games you really need to see in VR to appreciate. With most gamepads supported and button layout configuration anyway, this game is something to enjoy, something worth seeing and indeed worth playing. While it might be a little too Japanese for some people and maybe a little overpriced I personally feel it is worth every penny for both its quality and gameplay length. (at least 2-3 hours, even more, if you want to get all the handbags scattered throughout the levels). While it is often overlooked this game takes a worth place in my own Gear VR games collection and if you like your side-scrolling platformers, it should be in yours as well.
