Review: Salvage Op is a game on paper that seems to tick all the right boxes. It has a dark and creepy setting, well-designed levels and dungeon crawler shooter feel to it. But in reality, this game falls a little short of being just “OK”. Graphically it is far too basic and some of the sound effects also leave a lot to be desired. But it is the gameplay that really puts the final nail in this games coffin with the AI being the most stupid I have seen since Goldeneye on the N64. But then again that low £0.79 does draw me in and I still feel for that price this is worth a look. It’s far from perfect, but worth a quid if you like your dark and moody shooters.
