Description: Modular robotics & a Central Command was supposed to usher in prosperity, yet something went terribly wrong… ROMBIEs now scour the artificial wasteland for credits, modules & purpose. You, the Elite Recovery, spawned after a routine check on society started to fail.
Review: While I am usually a fan of most things the developers Phr00t’s Software come up with I have to give ‘ROMBIE’ the thumbs down. It’s just so flat and empty unlike many of their other games. Sure, it keeps the same basic style of graphics and makes gameplay the king, but I just wasn’t feeling it with this game. I often found myself getting lost and forever falling into the acid-sea. It’s just too long-winded and hard for me to get into. I can handle the extreme nausea you get with flying around with a jet-pack, but I can’t handle the high levels of frustration the game caused me. £6.19 is still a pretty good asking price, but I personally just couldn’t get into the game as easily as I have others from the same developers.
