Use your brains to solve puzzles and save the 5 working robots Alice, Bob, Clark, Dennis and Ernest from unwittingly running into their doom. Observe everything from your own moving monorail office, and use it to get to the various parts of our facility: See the acid processing with its rotating platforms, turn of gravity in our secret labs, and experience the magic of our trap production chain. If you’re good, you might even get promoted and earn yourself rewards like coffee mugs and bobbleheads for your desk. Do you have what it takes to save all the robots and become “Employee Of The Year”?
Review: Congratulations! You have got the job at Death Trap Inc and its a job with real corporate opportunities if you do well. But this is no cushy job placement, you are in charge of an office that seems to go along a monorail system to each level (this can be a little nauseating, but you can always skip them). The idea of the game is simple. Save the robots from killing themselves by guiding them along a path. Think robotic Lemmings and you will have a rough idea of what to do. You navigate them by simply looking at various switches located around the playing level. Some just need to be pushed and other you will need to push just at the right time.
This is a game that is like a classic 80’s cartoon. There are lots of saws and fire blast all waiting to kill your little robots, but it is all done in a fun way, like Tom and Jerry! Not only do the levels look great, it all looks great. From the office that you move about in, to each level hub. It all looks pretty great and the narrating voice will make you laugh more than a few times.
Given that RoboTraps is just a simple puzzle game I am truly surprised at just how good it looks. There is always something to look at and smile about and some real effort has been put into making this game as much fun as possible. But sadly it is short-lived fun with not that many levels as well. Sure, some of them are really difficult (especially in the later levels) and will take you a while to complete them, but still, it isn’t a lot of levels in the first place. If you are looking for a few laughs and enjoy a puzzle game, you can do a lot worse than download this.
