Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane in this first-person arcade shooter game in VIRTUAL REALITY. Blast your way through unique waves of enemies and mega bosses, each with their own strategy to defeat you, as you fight to destroy the ominous presence known only as RedSkull, and claim your spot on the High Score Board. The game has a very clean and minimalistic approach to the art style, which is reminiscent of those classic 8-bit games from the 70s.
In RetroGunX, you truly feel like a hero inside the game, literally. You know that feeling you get when you’re being watched? At any time, either during the main menu, high score screen or even during the game itself, look behind you to see a mysterious figure that not only watches your every move but also controls your every move, though the arcade screen.
Review: RetroGunX VR is a retro-looking first-person shooter in which you take down what seems to be enemies from the 8-bit days. From space invaders to Centipedes, they all look like retro game characters and you get two pew-pew retro shooters to deal with them. Wave after wave will attack you and it is up to you to kill them or survive as long as you can. Some people might like these retro-styled shooters, but I am not the biggest fan of them. I am certainly not a fan of ones that cost a wallet injuring £8.99 as there is no way this game justifies that asking price. But if I grabbed this for a quid or so I would maybe have some fun with it.
