Description: Where does the mind take you? In June 2017 the best doodlers from around the world were invited for the global finals of Red Bull Doodle Art, in San Francisco, where they could take doodling to the next dimension, literally. The resulting VR artworks were combined into the Global VR Gallery.
Review: Red Bull Doodle Art – Global VR Gallery features some truly amazing art and indeed artist from around the world. Mostly done in Tilt Brush VR they are street art in style with a graffiti look about them. Some are crazy and some are images of things people see all around themselves. Each one worth a look and all telling their own story.
Well…that’s the good news out of the way. The bad news is this is the worse “Gallery” interface I have ever used! It glitches and creates ghost images, displays the art in an unnecessary location each time, forcing you to not only turn around every time you want to see a work of art but also “teleport” over to it! It’s like it was created to be as complex and non-intuitive as possible! I expect better from a Red Bull promoted app and I would also expect better for all the artists and their hard work. Shame on Red Bul for launching this app as it is. But to end on a lighter note, a few updates could easily spin it all around. But whether or not they will come is another matter.
