Description: Get ready for a puzzling adventure at the Rainbow Reactor – where story-driven exploration is fused together with frantic color-matching gameplay! In a cyber-deco future, where clean Chroma Energy fuels the city, you are called to the Rainbow Reactor in an apparent emergency. Alfred Luzian von Hoffenhasselbrock – the eccentric inventor of Rainbow Fusion – has gone missing, so it’s up to you to get the reactor going again. And on the way, you’ll have to uncover the mystery that has befallen this futuristic powerplant. As you wander around, wielding different tools to open up all the different sections of the building, you’ll engage in frantic colour mixing-and-matching gameplay and have to prove to Dottie, your grumpy robotic superior, that you’ve got what it takes to save the city – even though you are “only” human!

Review: Over the years of doing these reviews, I have played several ‘match-3’ style games in VR all of which have been “meh” at best. But along comes Rainbow Reactor: Fusion to prove that in the hands of the right developer this genre can be successfully made for VR. The idea of the game is you stand on a platform as coloured balls roll by and you pick them up and throw them into the grid below with a goal of matching 3 or more together of the same colour. It has to be said it both looks and sounds amazing and given that it is in early access now means this game can only get better with time. Even now you will easily get your money’s worth here, but there is even talk of a multiplayer mode coming in the future.
