Review: Qumi Qumi reminds me very much of Dragon’s Lair. It’s basically a very well made animated 360 video that you can make choices of the path you want. While this doesn’t exactly give you control it does make the likelihood of you replaying it over and over again much more likely than any other animated 360 videos. With some very fun and often Minion like characters this ‘experience’ does make you smile for the first time through, but after that first time, you have already seen most things so it’s not quite as exciting. The ability to choose paths in a 360 animated film will lead to some amazing apps and experiences down the line, but for now, it’s an unrealized potential. Yes its worth buying if you already like your animated 360 short films, but those looking for an actual game are better off looking elsewhere.
