Description: “Primary surgical treatment” is a virtual simulator, designed for education purposes. By immersing yourself with your pair of Oculus VR Headsets, you can experience the task of treating a wound with many available surgical instruments and help the patient to begin the recovery.
Review: I have always praised VR for its use as a medical educational tool and here we are with ‘PST VR (Primary Surgical Treatment)’ to prove just that. Sure, its as basic as educational apps get, but it does what it needs to do and most people will learn a little bit along the way. It’s not going to turn anyone into a doctor overnight, but it might encourage someone to learn more. You get to cut, prepare and “fix” the patient and all of it without getting blood on your hands or a lawsuit when it all goes wrong. Plus its free, so do give it a go if you fancy becoming a doctor for 20 mins.
