Description: Planetarium for Virtual Reality to learn about the stars, constellations, and deep-sky objects. It includes 41375 stars, planets and moon; Deep Sky Object Catalogs: Messier, Caldwell, Herschel400, NGC, IC, Sharpless, Arp. Images from Deep Sky Surveys (DSS, DSS2, Wise).
Review: ‘PlanetariumVR’ is very much what its title suggests. It’s a virtual Planetarium which apparently has over 41375 stars to see There are different filters to see the night sky as well as a few point of interest to be enjoyed, but nowhere near enough educational content nor narration to hold my interest. I do get what this app is doing and it is kind of impressive, but I don’t really benefit in any way being a VR app. To the right person it is probably worth the £4.79 asking price, but unless it is something you are already interested in this app isn’t going to win you around.
