Review: Planet Protector VR is your classic alien shooter as you try and stop alien invaders who come in various shaped ships from destroying your city as well as defending various famous landmarks. While the graphics are basic (much like the gameplay) the action does get crazy pretty quick. With buildings blowing up and enemies dropping like flies there are low polygon explosions going off all over the screen, it was like playing a gunner in the Independence Day Sci-Fi movie! With four game modes to choose from, there is enough content here to keep you busy for a while. Sadly there is nowhere near enough content to justify its high asking price. If this game was just a few pounds it would be worth a download, but certainly not at the moment. While it does have to be said that this game is in Beta testing at the moment it’s still more than playable. If the price gets lower or the amount of content gets higher this might be one game well worth keeping an eye on. But until then I would wait for a really good sale before giving it a go.
