Presentation: Much like the Pimax Artisan, this is quite a good unboxing experience provided you only compare it to other Pimax headsets. The outer box is sturdy and the inner box is nice and compact with everything neatly packed into 3 sections, two of which are boxes filled with all the cables and a spare head strap. It’s basic for sure, but it should keep your headset safe while in transit.

Review: The ‘Pimax 5K SUPER’ was supposed to be Pimax’s most user-friendly/budget VR headset of the range and yet…it is still pretty much the same headset it always was. This headset just doesn’t have the build quality, the view quality nor the budget price to compare to almost all other VR headsets. Sure, you can blame a lot on Facebook for underselling their headsets, but the Quest 2 is still a far better headset even if you only use it for PCVR use. Sure, the wide FOV these headsets offer is amazing, but when it comes to the overall display the colours looked washed out and the resolution doesn’t look anywhere near what you would expect. Sadly the is yet another fail for Pimax and not something I would recommend to the average VR user.
