Review: Some people might remember the Panzer Panic mobile game. The top-down tank fight on paper was unusual, to say the least, but now here we are in VR and things look a lot better. With a choice of several tanks, you much play a PVP game of capture the flag with up to 3 other real players. with various tanks with different strengths and weaknesses, then there is the powerups and even the odd barrel to blow up when an opponent is near. There are also quite a few different environments to play in, each one with its own hiding spaces and strategic shooting point.
While the single-player is fun against the AI, the real fun is in the multiplayer. Going at it on your own or working as a team, is just such a joy to play and has all the ingredients to make it a classic. But sadly those ingredients are not in the right order meaning it can be a little frustrating to play, but overall still loads of fun. I thought the touch controller play system was a nice touch even if it didn’t work all that well. But then again none of the compatible controller systems work very well and you never really feel in total control of the tank. But yet having said that, this game as playability and load of fun baked throughout it. It’s not a great game to control but at the same time its a load of fun to play. I think some people will hate it, some will love it and some will play it for hours. But sadly the only way to tell which one you are is to download it yourself.
