Review: ‘Omega Pilot’ is a PS1 Wipeout style game in which you have to get around the 11 racing tracks as fast as you can. There are no true multiplayer options here, but there are online ghosts to challenge. Control-wise you do it with the handle controls in front of you and there is air-drifting to slide around those tight corners. The game looks great that is for sure, but while it does take a little getting used to I still found the joy of the chase in shaving those all-important seconds off my times.
I love this game I really do and I enjoyed playing it, but it simply doesn’t have enough content nor options to justify its own asking price. If you ask me Radial-G: Racing Revolved still knocks spots off it and that game is almost 10 years old! Having said that there is massive potential here and after a few updates and added options this could easily be worth the download. So for now I give this a cautious recommendation, but probably best to wait for a few updates before giving it a go.
