Description: Ocean Rift is the world’s first VR aquatic safari park. Explore a vivid underwater world full of life including dolphins, sharks, turtles, sea snakes, rays, manatees, sea lions, orcas, humpback whales, and even dinosaurs! Swim around, explore and interact with sea creatures across twelve unique habitats ranging from coral reefs and shipwrecks to lagoons, the Arctic and Atlantis. Ocean Rift features state of the art procedural animation. All-star animals have their own artificial intelligence, which means that every visit to Ocean Rift will be a unique experience.
For starters why on earth does it cost more than the significantly better looking Rift version? In fact, I would go so far as to say its borderline if this app is actually worth the asking price even if it is pretty amazing. But the other issue is that this app doesn’t seem to work on many Daydream compatible smartphones. It will jump and flicker all over the place making it pretty much unplayable. Maybe that is because this is not an officially licenced Oculus platform, who knows. Whatever the reason is you need to make sure the app is fully compatible with your smartphone if you intend to buy the full experience at its premium price. Such a shame these flaws exist and the price is so high. But other than those two issues, this app is definitely worth a look (even if you do stick to the free version).
