My Thoughts on this Story: While this is far from the first time we have seen VR being used in an operating theatre it will be the first constant use of the tech within real live surgery. Surgical Theater’s partnership with Operative Neurosurgery grants us the ability to establish the 360° virtual reality fly-through as a new component in peer-reviewed surgical cases,” this means they get to view the issues someone is facing in 3D and often live as the operation is taking place! Will we ever see Vr for patients in the operation room? Who knows, all I do know is VR is changing the medical profession for good and while I wish it was indeed the gaming sector its always nice to see VR succeeding, no matter what field it is.
