About: Sadly the NEODiVRjr didn’t get to it’s funding goal on Kickstarter, but is since started a download and print on a 3D printer option. But us here at the VR shop really do think that is a shame, but not for the end of the headsets sale, but the idea it had. You see the idea for the NEODiVRjr came about when it’s designer was showing kids in a hospital a Google Cardboard headset. The idea strung to make a child-friendly headset that all kids in hospitals could use it and escape the boredom that may of them face. This is a side of virtual reality that not a lot of people think about and that is a shame.

Our Thoughts: At the end of the day, the Kickstarter project was to make a headset and we really should take a good look at the NEODiVRjr as just that and not the idea that might have gone over people’s heads. The handheld device was made to fit the iPhone 6 as well as the iPod Touch 6 only as that was deemed the best screen sizes to use. But the biggest problem with the headset was they couldn’t seem to settle on a universal design and thus it seemed confusing to the people who might have used it. I’m sure the designer will be back with a much simpler design, but for now, it might well end up as a little piece of VR history.
