First Impressions: While I would have expected it to be made from plastic it is in fact made from the same soft, lightweight and flexible foam material the Merge VR headset is which means it will take all the drops you need as well as feeling good in the hand. All the tracking items on the cube are done in a aliens/Aztec style which also makes it look great.

Review: If you have never seen anything in AR or made a trackable item for AR use before, to put it simply, the Merge cube will blow your mind away! It comes nicely presented and even sells itself from the box, but the price might be a little too high for some people for a simple AR toy, but I think it’s decent and worth the money (but that is just my opinion). At the end of the day this sort of AR cube is nothing new, but don’t to this level with this much software support is unheard of. Anyone wanting to play around with augmented reality will thoroughly enjoy this and to be fair it is very responsive making it a joy to handle (mostly thanks to its soft foam texture). It might well be one of the strangest VR accessories we will ever review, but it’s also the most fun we have had in AR for a long time.
