Description: Model ship lovers rejoice again! This is another collection of six finely-detailed vessels for viewing at both “model” and “actual” size with a VR headset. Stroll their decks as they sail upon a beautifully-rendered ocean with dynamic day/night cycle. Remotely control them at model-scale on a park “boating” pond, where you can compete against a “ghost-ship” to capture the most buoys, or pick them up for a closer look. Each ship includes an “action” event while at sea, whereby mighty cannons fire, ship horns bellow, or the submarine dives.
Review: Much like Magnificent Ships: Volume 1, there are no half measures here. You will either be the type of person who loved building model ships and maybe sailing some radio controlled ones, or you will be someone like myself who find this app to be little more than some very overpriced models of ships with almost zero fun or playability. OK, so this app isn’t going to be for everyone, but I can see the hard work and effort that has gone into making the ship models. Someone out there will go crazy for this app, but that person is not me. If you think it might be something you will enjoy, then it probably is.
