Description: From the director of Pixar’s The Blue Umbrella, experience the wonder of an unexpected encounter in a magical forest. An Oculus Story Studio production.
Review: You start off inside a woodland, listening to the insects and birds fly around you (be warned there is a few scare jumps in this part). Then from deep in the forest appears a dinosaur. But when it gets near you soon realise that it is a giant robotic hand that has a pet dogs life of its own, seeking it’s master out from what I can only guess is a locator beacon going off inside of its tail (wrist).
Soon, you will realise that the giant robots hand master is coming for him and he is one massive, but ultimately a very friendly robot. With super smooth animations and deeply immersive sound, it is surprising how realistic it all feels.
While a short animated film it is definitely well worth watching. If you can stand and watch this then feel your legs get weak when the giant robot crashes to the ground to sit down. These short films are what makes VR worth owning and the more there are the happier I would be.
