Review: Lola and the Giant might sound like a cutesy platform game and dare I say it even looks it in pictures in the Google App store. But trust me when I tell you this is something very special indeed. With some of the best animations I have seen on a mobile VR game so far and that is all wrapped up in some deep looking 3D environments, this is one game that looks stunningly real. Not realistic, but real as in a play set laid out in front of you. This is not just another Daydream game, it’s a ground breaking Daydream game. When games like this set the bar so high already my faith in VR gets restored. Lucky’s Tale showed people how good a VR platform game can be. Lola and the Giant takes it that step further and shows why mobile VR is the way to go.
