VR News: While several airlines have said they might be considering using VR for in-flight entertainment it seems Small Planet Airlines have jumped ahead and done it! With thanks going to Inflight VR (they create virtual reality ecosystem for the aviation industry) this in-flight VR will be Airbus A320s flying from Amsterdam to several destinations in southern Europe. While its service will have to also be pretty good I can easily see this giving this giving Small Planet Airlines a nice little publicity boost.

My Thoughts on this Story: I couldn’t think of a better place to use VR than on a flight. Being able to get away from it all and let time slip away its the perfect scenario for VR to be used in. While this is a small test set it is still a great leap ahead by the company and their stats will help many other airlines decide if they want to do the same. While I have not flown with them before I will be keeping an eye out for this service on my next European trip.
