Review: ‘Koi-Koi VR: Love Blossoms’ is a story-based game in which you and your childhood friends visit a hot spring. All of the text is in Japanese as is the voice narration. I really don’t get this game at all (and that has nothing to do with the lack of English translation), there seems to be an unspoken story that neither party is saying. The narrative is mostly “do you remember when?” or “I felt like that”. There is no action, nothing to really immerse yourself in. But the lack of gameplay, interesting story and good quality animation is only the start of this game’s problems.
You might consider me ill-mannered, but when I am paying £46.49 for an anime story-based game there had better be some titties at the very least! Sure, there are a few different endings to this game, but certainly, nothing that will hold your attention for more than an hour tops. I get that it is still in Early Access, but I would have liked at least 4+ hours of content. There is simply nothing here to justify the current price tag and I won’t be recommending it until it does down to a fraction of what it currently is.
