Description: The Kellogg’s Gut Bacteria Reef is an interactive VR experience designed to teach people about gut health. In a world-first, we’ve made the invisible visible. Now you can get up close to the organisms and diverse flora that live inside the gut, and learn about the importance of fibre in maintaining this thriving ecosystem.

Just like any healthy ecosystem, a rise in the dominance of one or more species can upset the balance and affect its overall health. To educate people on the importance of this, Kellogg’s created an immersive and educational VR experience called the Gut Bacteria Reef. Where viewers can travel into the gut in a virtual submarine to uncover the inner workings of the gut ecosystem for the very first time.

Review: OK, so ‘Kellogg’s Gut Bacteria Reef’ is and was always going to be little more than an advert for Kellogg’s breakfast cereal, but at least they have put some effort into it. Lasting about 5 minutes in total this interactive experience sees you helping the stomach make friendly bacteria and that is about it. It’s slightly educational, slight fun and it looks good from start to finish. Even the narrator’s voice is soft and clear. For the little ones, this will be very interesting, but its short timing will put many adults off giving it a go. It’s free and to be fair it could have been so much worse.
